At home sleep test

Our at home sleep test lets you check for sleep apnea from the comfort of your own bed. It is a simple, one night test designed to measure key signals related to obstructive sleep apnea, or OSA. You wear small sensors on your finger, wrist, and chest that work together with a smartphone app to track how your body breathes and rests during sleep.

After just one night, our medical team can review your results and determine whether sleep apnea may be affecting your rest. This approach is a convenient alternative to an overnight sleep lab study and works well for many people who want clear answers without the hassle of a clinic visit.

How it works

To get started, you will complete a short health questionnaire. This information helps confirm the test is appropriate for you. If your results show signs of sleep apnea, our team will guide you through next steps and talk through treatment options that fit your life.

The test is single use and intended for adults 18 and older.

What the test measures

• Breathing patterns during sleep
• Oxygen levels and heart rate
• Snoring and body position
• Movement and sleep activity
• Chest motion related to breathing

You will receive a clear summary of your results, including your AHI score, which means breathing pauses per hour. If you meet the criteria for obstructive sleep apnea, a prescription for PAP therapy may be recommended.

Unopened tests can be returned within 60 days.

Who this test is for

An at home sleep test may be a good fit if you:

• Snore regularly or wake up short of breath
• Feel tired despite a full night of sleep
• Suspect sleep apnea and want to avoid an overnight lab study

FAQs

From testing and treatment to pricing and support, here’s everything you need to know about starting your sleep journey with Dumbo Health.

01
Can this home sleep test really find sleep apnea?

Yes. It’s FDA-cleared and built to measure the signals needed to diagnose sleep apnea. It’s been used on tens of thousands of people with strong accuracy.

01
How does the testing process work?

After completing a sleep questionnaire, our team ships the Home Sleep test to your home in about three business days. Setup is simple: pair the device with your phone, put it on your finger or hand, and keep it on all night.

01
What is a home sleep test?

A small finger-worn device tracks how you breathe, how your heart beats, how much oxygen you have, and how long you sleep. It uses a light sensor on your finger and connects to an app on your phone. All the data is combined into one score that shows how many times your breathing slows or stops each hour.

01
Why is testing important?

When your throat narrows during sleep, your oxygen drops. This stresses your heart, brain, and the rest of your organs. Untreated sleep apnea is linked to diabetes, stroke, heart attack, daytime sleepiness, and loss of sexual energy.

01
What makes Dumbo Health’s service different?

Board-certified sleep specialists read your results. FDA-cleared devices are used for testing and diagnosis. You get support through each step.

01
Do I ever need a sleep lab?

Almost never. Fewer than one percent of people need a full lab test with many sensors. Most people get everything they need from the home test.
